Your parking session is timed by the automatic ANPR system from when you drive in to when you drive out You can pay at any time before you leave. Please note that Metric Elite LS Pay & Display ticket machines and paybyPhone systems can only record when you paid. The start of your session is not the time on your printed receipt, nor the time from which paybyPhone calculates the expiry time from which they set their expiry alert. We recommend that you set your own timer when you arrive.

Prompt action can prevent issue of a Parking Charge Notice if you realise that you overstayed, or you entered the wrong Vehicle Registration, or even if you couldn't pay before driving away.

These are your options:
  • You can extend your parking session either pay cash at the meter before you leave the car park, or pay remotely: Text REG and your registration to 65565, or pay online at www.paybyphone.co.uk ; or use the paybyPhone app, or Call 0330 400 7275;
  • If you entered your Vehicle Registration Mark wrongly buy a replacement ticket for the full correct number plate and duration, but if you used paybyPhone read this first ;
  • "Park & Go" with paybyPhone up to midnight the day you parked You have to call 0330 400 7275 and pay a human, correctly stating the date and period you were parked.
PAYBYPHONE LOCATION: 800672

PLEASE NOTE The above methods do not cancel a Parking Charge Notice after it has been issued. When all is said and done, time is of the essence and it is the driver's responsibility to declare their full vehicle registration correctly and to make timely payment for the whole duration of their stay.

Please respect that Wye Valley Visitor Centre staff have no access to ANPR data, cannot correct a ticket, nor have they discretion to waive your payments to the Car Park Operator, and have no duty to give customer support on parking issues Information given by Centre staff about the services of ParkingEye or paybyPhone is out of courtesy and in good faith in the manner of any tourist information and is not intended to form a contract, or modify the driver's contracts with ParkingEye or paybyPhone, or constitute legal advice.
